The kite finally takes flight

7 years ago I bought a kite. It was a cute kids kite with all the members of the Paw Patrol proudly showcased on the front. I didn't have kids then and we were not sure if we would after years of unfortunate news. I bought this kite with the promise to myself that I wouldn't open it until I could share that experience with my kid(s) that I would hopefully have one day. Today we flew that kite and it was a moment for me to pause and reflect on the fact that I shared it with my two little boys.
